Preceded by JJ King Construction 1961-2015
The Predecessor to Kelley Fine Homes, JJ King Construction was incorporated in 1961 by John (Jack or JJ) King. In the 1970’s Mike Kelley started working for Jack as a laborer where he literally learned the trade from the ground up. Mike’s knowledge of the trade grew exponentially through the 70’s and 80’s working with the business and graduating as a Mechanical Engineer.
During the late 80’s and early 90’s Mike used his engineering skills and broader construction knowledge as a Project Engineer, and became Engineering and Maintenance Supervisor for GE. Mike gained a universal understanding of both design and construction. Mike’s experiences include a variety of projects, such as a Jet Fueling Facility for the Air National Guard, Co-generation Plants, a Nitrogen Plant and various rebuilds of reactor and distillation systems.
Later in the 90’s, Mike worked designing, building and integrating quality smart automation systems in the finishing operation at GE. At the same time, Mike began a small construction company of his own and began building custom homes.
Early 2000, Mike Left GE and took over as President of JJ King Construction building many homes over the following 15 years. Every home was crafted to fit the needs of the buyers, each with a unique new design and floor plan.
